The Journey of a Tech Pioneer: From Telecom to the AI Frontier
My journey in technology didn't start with the sleek interfaces we see today. It began in the early days of mobile, working with the fundamental building blocks of SMS and MMS development shortly after earning my Computer Science degree from the University of the Philippines.
Over the past two decades, I have navigated the shifting tides of the digital landscape, evolving from a Systems Developer into roles as a CTO and Senior System Architect. Whether I was overhauling recruitment systems in Manila , building e-commerce solutions in Los Angeles , or designing complex debit card systems for international markets , my focus has always been the same: bridging the gap between complex, high-level technology and the real-world needs of businesses.
Building the Backbone of Connectivity
A significant chapter of my story was spent mastering the infrastructure that keeps us connected. At CrossPoint, I spent over seven years architecting managed IT infrastructure and unified communications. During this same era, I delved deep into IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (IT-GRC) with CleverCloud, championing the idea that if you don't capture or store sensitive data, it cannot be stolen—simplifying security through smarter architecture.
My experience spans the full spectrum of the industry, including:
- Digital Monetization: Crafting strategies to turn traditional print media into digital revenue at MegaMobile.
- Project Management: Coordinating cross-border teams in Singapore, Dubai, and Melbourne to deliver agile tech solutions.
- Social Platforms: Designing and maintaining the mobile platform for Friendster in the Philippines during its peak.
The New Chapter: ROGVERSE and the AI Revolution
Today, I have returned to my R&D roots as the founder and CEO of ROGVERSE. We are currently pioneering the next wave of Conversational AI. My daily work now involves:
- Large Language Models (LLMs): Building advanced knowledge-base retrieval systems using vector databases and knowledge graphs.
- Voice & Entertainment: Developing Retrieval-based Voice Conversion and creating AI-driven virtual entertainers and influencers.
- Next-Gen Support: Architecting AI CSP agents and automated business intelligence reporting.
- Security Evolution: Enhancing safety with AI-driven XDR (Extended Detection and Response) and assisted SIEM.
